The Adventures of Young & Holt – Issue 20

In this issue, Young & Holt, along with Joshua’s old friend, Saul have left the town of Ortonville and made their way to Fargo, hoping to rescue Porter’s friend, Regina, from the hangman’s noose. But first, they need to get the lay of the land a bit, as well as take care of some other business.

Before we see where they’re at, a bit of a note. In the interest of keeping the story moving, the basic information our posse knows about Fargo has been moved to end of the issue. It can be found around the 50 minute mark. We at the Epitaph do this because, while helpful, it’s not completely pertinent to what happens in this issue.

With all that out of the way, let’s see where they’re at…

It’s a distraction they don’t need, as Porter is desperate to get to Fargo, in the hopes of rescuing Regina. But as you are well aware, trouble likes to find our posse.

The Adventures of Young & Holt – “Special Announcement”

Welcome to Deadlands Dime Novels – the Adventures of Young & Holt, – this here is a special “announcement” issue about our beloved Marshal.

It seems our Marshal has taken a new job, mining ghost rock up in the Alaska territory – but rest assured, the Adventures of Young & Holt will continue.

It’s just going to take our beloved Marshal a couple weeks to get his affairs in order, and then he’ll resume publication of the tales of this posse from the Weird West.

And he also wants to assure you that with the help of some people familiar with the New Science, that the distance between the Marshal, and our other players will remain nice and close.

Thank you for your patience, and we’ll see you sometime in the beginning of September.

Now, you know… where he’s at…

I’m Ernest Wick for the Tombstone Epitaph. And remember… always be patient with the faults of others, because they may have to be patient… with yours.

The Adventures of Young & Holt – Issue 18

In this issue, Young & Holt find themselves in the blink town of Ortonville, on their way to Fargo. Joshua hopes to find some help from an old friend for Porter’s mission to rescue Regina. Porter gets comfortable in the saloon, and Saul gets to know both members of our posse. And then, as always, something happens.

Now, let’s see where they’re at…

Young & Holt – It’s in the Cards

Hey there. Chris, your Marshal here. I’ve talked before about the cards we use during gameplay, but this file here, cut from when Matt first joined us, does a good job explaining the cards we use and how we use them during gameplay.

We really enjoy using both decks, and it’s a fun exercise in creativity when one is played. As far as how we play, each player receives two plot twist cards, and one Adventure Deck card. The Marshal only receives two Plot Twist Cards, though I have taken an Adventure Deck card on occasion. 🙂

If you are interested, you can see the Plot Twist Cards here.

And the Savage Worlds Adventure Deck Cards here.

See you in the Weird West!

The Adventures of Young & Holt – Issue 17

In this issue, Young & Holt wrap up their affairs in town – Joshua agreeing to find Sylvia’s brother Francis in Fargo, and Porter receiving one last gift from H.B.. Then it’s back on the trail to Fargo and the rescue of Porter’s friend Regina, but with a stop for some help in the town of Ortonville, that our heroes hope will be brief.

And a special note – the next few issues have a guest appearance of someone from Joshua’s past. He goes by the name of Saul.

Oh, and one last thing. Stick around until the end of this issue. There may be something waiting for you.

Now, let’s see where they’re at…
