Dan, I’m wondering if it was a “GM goal” of yours in this session to remove a major asset of the players in order to create more of a feel of “need” and “scarcity” in the campaign?
I don’t really have goals like that, as I feel they’re a bit unfair to the players. I might put something at risk, but I won’t gaze on it with the eye of Sauron.
My hope for that encounter was actually that they’d at least parley briefly with the Ists, as there were a bunch of plot points they could have revealed.
Once again Eric’s character torpedoes an opportunity for plot reveals? 🙂
